QRZ.com sync

Connect VoiceQSO to your QRZ.com logbook and every QSO you log is pushed there automatically. This page covers connecting your account, the options you get once it's on, and how to override the connection for an individual session.

Before you start

You'll need:

  • A QRZ XML subscription on your QRZ.com account.
  • Your QRZ Logbook API key, found under QRZ.com › Logbook › Settings › API Key. It looks like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

Enable QRZ sync

  1. Open the Settings tab and find the QRZ.com Logbook section.
  2. Turn on the QRZ.com Sync switch. The Connect QRZ Logbook screen appears.
  3. Paste your QRZ Logbook API key and tap Connect.

If the key is valid, sync turns on and the row shows Syncing to your callsign. From now on, new contacts are sent to your QRZ logbook as you log them.

Prefer a keyboard? You can do all of this in the companion web app at app.voiceqso.com/settings, where pasting your API key is much easier than typing it on a phone.

If the key is wrong or QRZ can't be reached, you'll see QRZ Connection Failed. Double-check the key and that your XML subscription is active, then try again.

Options once it's on

With QRZ sync enabled, two more settings appear:

  • Sync Deletions: when on, deleting a QSO in VoiceQSO also removes it from your QRZ logbook. Leave it off to keep QRZ entries even after you delete locally.
  • Update API Key: replace the stored key, for example after rotating it on QRZ.com.

To turn sync off again, just switch QRZ.com Sync back off.

Per-session control

You can override the global setting for any single session from the session screen:

  • QRZ Auto-Sync: turn automatic syncing on or off just for that session.
  • QRZ API Key: use a session-specific key instead of your global one, handy for keeping a club log separate from your personal logbook. Tap it to set an override, or to remove it and fall back to the global key.

Need to push a whole session at once (for example, after editing several contacts)? Open the session's menu and choose Sync with QRZ. VoiceQSO reports how many QSOs synced, how many were skipped for incomplete data, and any errors.
